At the BE+ Green Building Showcase E+ Highland received a Green Building Award in the Equity and Inclusion category.
The judges noted, “Not only are 100% of the units affordable, aiming to prevent displacement and supporting upward economic mobility in the neighborhood, but the project is also designed with ambitious sustainability goals – to achieve net positive energy, utilize energy efficient and resilient building components and systems, and materials that address the negative impacts buildings can have on the health of their occupants and the planet.”

Also on display was the new Nubian Square design for Franklin Cummings Tech. Using passive building strategies and all-electric systems, the project targets LEED Gold. FCT serves a diverse BIPOC community and the new campus will contribute to the revitalization of Nubian Square after six decades of disinvestment.
