As an Architect at Studio G, Ali brings a unique perspective to educational design, blending technical expertise and strong listening skills with a deep understanding of people and place. With a liberal arts background in East Asian languages and Critical Theory, Ali approaches architecture holistically, focusing on how spaces shape and enhance human experience. Her experience spans K-12 schools to higher education, where she strives to create environments that inspire learning and foster connection.
Ali’s design philosophy centers on the user. Believing that good architecture begins from the “inside out,” she prioritizes the feel and flow of a space, carefully considering how people interact with it. Known for her skill in programming, Ali enjoys the challenge of fitting spaces together in ways that are both efficient and responsive to user needs.
Beyond design, Ali plays a key role in Studio G’s technical development as co-BIM Coordinator. Alongside her colleague Anthony, she manages Revit templates, policies, and procedures, runs Revit user meetings, and assists staff with troubleshooting—ensuring that Studio G’s teams operate smoothly and efficiently.
A licensed architect and former president of BosNOMA, Ali actively contributes to Boston’s design community, advocating for greater equity and representation in the field. A recent Boston Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree, she sees each project as an opportunity to create meaningful, user-focused spaces that leave a lasting, positive impact on students and educators alike.
