“The best way to predict the future is to invent it.”

– Alan Kay

Gail Sullivan, Founder and Managing Principal of Studio G, has dedicated her career to creating architecture that uplifts communities and fosters equity. Her path to architecture was shaped by her early passion for imagining and building places, paired with her deep involvement in social justice, human rights, and environmental movements. Gail founded Studio G over 30 years ago to merge these interests, delivering high-quality architecture to those who need it most.

Gail’s approach to design excellence begins with listening closely to clients and understanding the context of each project. She believes physical spaces shape experiences—they can either exclude or welcome, limit or inspire, depress or uplift. Guided by this philosophy, she strives to design environments that foster growth, health, and connection.

Her work focuses on creating housing and communities, educational spaces for learners of all ages, and places that heal and nurture. Through her leadership, Studio G continues to reflect her commitment to architecture that is both beautiful and impactful, aligning with the highest aspirations of its clients and communities.
