Who’s your favorite fictional character?

Chespirito is a beloved Mexican comedian, creator, and performer, remembered throughout Latin America for many iconic character, one of them being my superhero, described below. His work stood out not just for its humor, but for its deep humanity, often touching on social inequalities and injustice. In the 1970s and 1980s, his shows became a cultural phenomenon, blending laughter, heart, and meaningful social commentary. What made Chespirito truly special wasn’t just the comedy, it was the way he portrayed characters who were poor, clumsy, or afraid, not to mock them, but to celebrate their courage and dignity.

Who’s your hero?

El Chapulín Colorado is a brilliant and culturally rich hero. Created in Mexico in the 1970s, he flips the typical superhero narrative. Unlike traditional superheroes who rely on physical strength or extraordinary powers, El Chapulín relies on wit, heart, and sheer persistence. He's clumsy, often scared, and far from perfect, always showing up. That firm determination, even in the face of fear, makes him incredibly relatable and quietly courageous. Rather than mocking the superhero genre, the character redefines what it truly means to be a hero.
