Q&A

What’s your hidden talent?

I can sing Jingle Bells in Latin

Where do you find inspiration?

Playing the flute since fourth grade and joining the marching band as soon as possible, I carried a love for the marching arts through college and beyond. Today, I follow drum corps and attend performances with my husband and friends, finding endless inspiration in the collaborative nature of the art form. Watching over 100 individuals come together—not only playing music but moving in precise unison across a football field through intricate drill and choreography—truly exemplifies the power of teamwork and storytelling.

What’s your favorite destination?

My favorite destination is Italy, where I visited the small towns where six of my great-grandparents were born. I have found five out of six homes where their families lived. I met lovely people in those towns who wanted to help in my family research and whom I now consider friends.
