“When you are walking down Brattle [Street] or Mass. Ave., you see these kids every single day. You cannot ignore them, nor can you ignore their need.” – Denise Jillson, executive director of the Harvard Square Business Association

Last week we announced the launch celebration of Y2Y Harvard Square (Y2Y), a student-run overnight shelter that employs a youth-to-youth model to provide a safe and affirming environment for young adults experiencing homelessness. Today we’re excited to unveil our designs for the new space, which incorporates the ideas and needs of the youth, Y2Y, Youth on Fire, and First Parish Church. It is our privilege to play a part in building a better, safer and more uplifting environment for young people who need it most.
